I see there are lots of guys running BFG 33x9.5.5 ATs out there. I switched from a stock size tire that ran great on the road to a MT 33x12.5 that wanders a lot. I'm getting a second set of all terrains and need help deciding between BFG T/A KO 33x9.5 or 33x10.5. I like the look of a wider tire but I don't want to fight the grooved roads.

Do you think one inch will make that much of a difference in looks or road handling?

If you got the clearance, which you obviously do, then I would go with the 10.5's. I think the 9.5's are popular because you can run them on the stock rims with no lift. They do look cool that way, but if you are already lifted, I'd go with 10.5's.

Thanks, I probably should've pointed out that I have a 2.5" lift and the wheels that I have are stock size.

33x10.50 are perfect on stock wheels. I have a set of the AT's on 78's after market 15x7 wheels and MT's on my 67's stock wheels.

Your wander on the rutted roads is due to a lack of caster not tire width. The narrow tires simply masked the problem. My 13.5 wide bias swampers have zero wander on super rutted roads. When I was running 10.5 with too little caster I thought I was going to die on any rutted road.

I have factory power steering. Can any old autoshop figure out the caster on a non stock 26 year old rig, or do I need to go to a specialty shop?
