So I was recommended to y'alls website by a friend, and really like the set up. Anyway, the wife and I bought a new Toyota and can't find a way to keep the Cruiser around.

This car was my uncle's new in 1989 and bought from him when I was 15. It now has just shy of 205,000 miles on it. I have replaced some things in it, so I will list what does and doesn't need work. Let me know if you have questions about any of it.

New:
Battery replaced 2 days ago
Air compressor just replaced
Interior cloth replaced on all seats within the year
Tires less than a year old -- Good Year ATS
Alternator and switch less than a year and still under warranty

Needs work:
The automatic locks on all doors
The electric window on driver side
Front fender bent on passenger side (see pictures)
Crack in windshield from rock

Has a Pioneer CD player
Back seat heat (not that you will use it if you keep it in Texas)
4x4 -- locking hubs
Spare tire

Don't quite understand how to post picks, so let me know if you want more. I will e-mail you. Thanks

Email me the pix, I'll post em for ya.

Texx, thanks for offering. The site won't let me e-mail you, what address should I use?

Where in Texas? As someone once said, it's a big state.

You can also easily set up and post pictures on photobucket.com at no charge.

So yes, you are right, it is a big state. I live in Austin, will be making a number of trips to Waco and Houston though. Anywhere along there would be fine with me for driving it.

Thanks

Is that a Milburn built neighborhood I see there?

Anyway, you might want to come out to our Lone Star Land Cruiser meeting tonight and show off the truck...maybe you'll get someone looking to buy a 62 there.

Meeting is at 7pm at Rudy's on 183/Duval.

That sounds like a great idea. I have a softball game tonight, but this would be more important. How often do ya'll meet?

4th Thursday of every month

Hey guys... I had an offer for $3500. Does anyone think that I overpriced this? If so, is $3500 fair?

Thats fair....because i was thinking $3k

With the body work alone you could spend $900 just to fix and to paint the whole vehicle again $1500.

Did the offer come from someone who has seen the truck?

There are a lot of details about the condition and service history that would greatly influence the price.

If you need to sell ASAP, $3500 is probably not too bad, although I'm sure it is substantially less than you paid- values have really dropped the last 2-3 years.
