An 89-90 would be a FJ62 T-case. Are you wanting one for a FJ62 part time or for a FJ80 full time?

I have an 89, and I'm going to be in Sacramento this weekend. Unfortunately I'm out of time so I can't pull it out and bring it. I'd be willing to ship it though if you don't find one locally.

FJ80 full time.

The one I have is shot, when I purchased the FJ80 the t-case was ran dry for sometime and it sounds like the rear output bearing is shot. Thanks

You might edit your title then. You are most likely looking for a 91-92 FJ80 transfer case then. 89-90 was still FJ62s.

Its a 90 FJ80, how do I tell between the two? I purchased this with a 5.7 and a 700r4 swap, so I'm not sure what t-case I need is there a way to tell exactly which one I need? Thanks for all the help

Is it a US spec'd truck? It should be a 91 if it is a FJ80 in the US. What is the date of manufacture? 91 FJ80s did start being made in like 5/90 but they were 91 models.

Just looked up the date and it was 11/90. I think the reason I'm so confused is that about 6 months ago I purchased a 91 t-case (at least I was told it was a 91) but the t-case was way different then the one I have.
