Have been a regular lurker since I purchased my 88 FJ62 last July. Truck has been a solid daily driver and all around fun vehicle since. Mods are somewhat limited, have added OME shocks, new 2.25'' exhaust with freeflows and a Flowmaster, and have tried to stop all the leaks. Otherwise, have kept it clean and tuned-up, but have not played heavily off-road.
Today I was coming home from Columbia (I live in Charlotte) and a had a very strange wobble in the rear end at low speeds (< 30 mph) when off the interstate and when on the interstate, but only when pulling hills. Felt as if the tires weren't properly fastended on the truck, or as if one was warped.
Checked to see if any were going flat and appeared to be nothing wrong. All lug nuts were on the vehicle - and its been months since the tires had last been taken off. Only think I can think is that the tires may have gotten overheated - which is plausible as I have them at 40 psi (cold).
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Andrew
