One of my best friends has been looking for a 60/62 model for a while and one just popped up on craigslist that is an 88 that is blue. No pics yet - does anyone know this LC or the guy selling it?

I dont know the owner, but I know his neighbor who is responsible for selling it. His name is Alexander. 205/826/2564.

I have only seen pictures of it, but the thing is beautiful. Call him he should be able to text/email you some pictures.

What's the deal with all these Ttown cruiserheads that aren't on mud?

there is an instructor at UA who has a red 91 that looks like new, no scratches, no dents, no dings, nice interior... he is on the board just not very active.
there is a white pig on campus.
another green and white one that drives around down town
there is an lx450 that stays parked at the bread company and occasionally moves, I believe the same owner has a 60 that appears to be a DD, nice gray with a little fading, factory chrome wheels.

when we get the club started Ill play mr. door to door with stickers and invitations.

oh a guy a year or two younger than me had a freaking sweet 40.... I think he went off to college somewhere though. then there are the Rons, but I believe they are cleaning cruiser house....they had a small fleet a few years ago though... they are on mudd

there is a 60 in northport that is parked at a brake shop, it might be forsale... there is also a 40 going toward lake lurlean i believe coolhand tried to talk to the owner without much luck.....

I posted pics of the restored smurf blue one that took a tree down the middle on april 27, he isnt on mud, he told coolhand he would sell it for 6k. it is squished in 1/2 though..... except for the grille and wheels I believe its a total loss.....

I think thats all I have been able to scope out.... Ill keep thinking about it.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this one. Drove up from Birmingham with my friend about two years ago to look at it. I'd call it more purple than blue. Very stock and clean interior. I think he was asking $8500 then. We drove it, ran fine. He made it very clear he was NOT going to negotiate on price. It's stock and complete. The clear coat is peeling as mentioned. But, to me, that's on the extreme high end for what it is.
I say that- but the guy I went with to look at that one ended up paying about 8k for a bone stock white 62 out of NC. So maybe that's what they're worth. I'd put the price more like $6500? But it ain't my truck- let me know what you think if you go see it.

When I attended UA ....those were pavement queens and the LC and Land Rover and whatever else SUVs were only for street driving. The ones I saw around town and on campus...

There are several 80s around. Tons of 100s. I only mentioned the older ones I know of because I figured they must be at least somewhat interested in cruisers to be driving 20 year old vehicles.

posted with my thumbs.

Duhh! How did I forget, I'm in class with a guy who drives a 97 80. Unlocked. Insurance tried to total it after the storm and he fought it. He has expressed interest in going to bham and talking to Matt about sliders. I'll have to look his mud name up.

I welcome anyone joining the forum...I just suspect that a lot of the people with the high end vehicles ($$) don't drive them off road at all. I would like to buy an 80 at some point....I"m really impressed with their capability (lockers + CDL) off road...

If they keep discontinuing parts on the 60...its going to be rough finding parts...some of which you can only get in the used market. .

he better not wreck it.... cruisers that nice are few and far between.

welcome to the madness :flipoff2:

how do i join the dixie land cruisers ?

You just did!

Only slightly kidding - we are in the process of formalizing the club so right now basically anyone who participates is a member. there is a sticky thread with a new website with an official interest form above this thread. Enter your info there and you will be kept in the loop as we apply for official TLCA chapter status. Hopefully it should move quickly now.

HEY HAMBONEB2!! I go to school with your son, even played football with him!!! I think you talked to my father (who bought me my cruiser) about getting one ;) I hope I was inspiration for him to get one! I love that blue/grey color! I havent seen him drive it around yet in the DO but I passed him the other day on the road! I want to get a look at that cruiser some day here soon!
