Hey all, Im new here & to Cruisers. I just got an 88 FJ62, tinkered on it for a week or so & have it running & driving good.
The only issue left, is when you leave from a stop, it'll take off nice, but shifts into second gear waaaay to soon. Im used to Ford & GM where theres a vacum modulator, or detent cable to play with .
Is there any external adjustment I can make to raise the shift point, or something to check?
If not am I down to taking out the valve body & cleaning, & cross my fingers?
Other then that, I love this thing & can tell itll be a keeper.
