Was wondering if I could use your expert opion? I have a 87 FJ with around 200K. I am going for a mild stance upgrade. I don't plan to offroad this truck to much.(Maybe very mild trails, very,very mild.) I was wondering if shackles could give me this lift. Please advise.

There are several shackle lifts available. I originally thought I would go that route, but now I am thinking about getting AALs. I am looking for more in the 1" to 1.5" range than the 2.5" to 3" you get with OME springs. I only plan on going with 31" tires as well.
The AALs don't seem to be too much more money than adding longer shackles.
