Started to dig into the motor while I waited on other parts, got the head taken off for inspection, all the valve seals were in bad shape so I made a little quick spring compressor from a c clamp to change those out and clean up the head. Bottom end looks to be in good shape, had to reorder a mls head gasket and am currently waiting on that to show up. The paper gasket in my gasket kit was trash and didn’t line up well at all

Driveshafts are in, double cardigan front and rear. Did a nose cone swap on my starter to a 12v setup. Now to tackle the alternator swap I am trying to do, and start in on the axles while I wait on other parts.

Rear end welded out and as disassembled as it’s going to get, cut off and cleaned up the old brackets and the housing. That third member gasket was insane tough to remove! Ready for paint and reassembly.

Was pleasantly surprised to see the gears in good shape.

Great project! Looks like you have some serious fab skills.

After a 6 week wait I got my wheel hardware in to finish bolting the wheels together, just need to silicone them and get the tires mounted up. Picked up a spare 35 as well.

Got my tires mounted this week and hopefully be installing those this weekend. Working on getting the front axle finished up. Radiator mounts are fabbed, added fan switch and a petcock as well as electric fan mounts.. also got the head back on my 13bt and resealed and cleaned the front timing cover. Waiting on a new water pump for that.

Rear end is all resealed and painted, new brake components and gaskets all around. Pinion seal was very leaky so I addressed that as well.. then got the rear end installed and build some new brake lines and a vent line to mount to the Isuzu rollover vent.

Interior is mostly buttoned up for the time being, need to add an egt and boost gauge. Bought a Jeep ome steering stabilizer and fabbed up a mount for it, as well as switched to a fabricated pitman arm that I scabbed together from 3/4” steel. Added a nomad valve body and fabbed up a quick 3” turbo back exhaust.
