My wife and I bought this cruiser a few months back. She's been my daily driver. We are looking for a 20 MPG plus diesel Toy and are interested in selling this one. She's an '86 and need nothing to be a reliable offroad rig or daily driver.

BAD

Slight leak from power steering box. We just drained and filled with new fluid and stop leak. Seems to be fine for the last few days.

Small rust area on the lower left rear quarter panel about 3"x3". It is starting to bubble up under the paint. This is the only rust on this vehicle and would be real easy to replace.

The dash is cracked pretty bad and could really use a cap.

There is slight hail damage on the hood.

There is are scratches starting at the front of the truck on the left side running all the way down the side of the truck to the rear light. It's not bad but drives me crazy when I look at it.
All-in-all this is a great lightly built FJ60. I'm looking to replace this rig with a diesel cruiser of some sort.

$5000

Wow. Deal fell through. "Pending deal" took truck to 'Mostly Toyota's' in Asheville on Biltmore Ave. They told him it needed $2500 worth of work to be reliable. He paid $85 bucks to have it checked out. He also said that the lady at the front desk asked why he would want a money pit like that.?

Diagnostic sheet says
-radiator coolant low (it is not low and i didn't add any)
-power steering fluid leaking (known issue- not a big deal)
-needs radiator hoses (honest to God they all look great)
-I quote this... "washer fluid _____ no good" (tank is empty, salt on roads this morning)
-power steering pump and hoses _____ NPF (but I thought there was a leak)
-cv axles leaking (huh) birfs are leaky as usual
then mechanics notes are
"front axle seal is leaking, p/s box is leaking, belts are noisy"

I just thought you should know. I have had a lot of cruisers. This one really is in good shape. I guess anyone could knit-pick it, but I promise this is a good rig. Anyone who has seen or driven it can attest to that.

Still for sale!

Hey Blair-

What's it pulling on a vacuum gauge? Burning any oil?

Thanks!

Saw this rig over President's Day Weekend in Asheville. Looks like a good deal for someone!

Ski Country rocks...even though they made me pay for a snowboard after I stole them one back for them...haha

Ha is right. I'm so sorry about that whole thing. Thanks for the kind words though. If I can EVER do anything for you please just ask. I owe ya a hookup of some sort.
