I have been putting it off for a while now my power steering pump leaks about half the fluid in a course of a month I've put UV die in it and I can't tell where its coming from it won't leak in then all the sudden it's all over the engine all over the hood and I got blow by everywhere now now even with the right amount of fluid in it I check it often so that its not low it has started to have a very annoying whine at 2500 rpms in every gear and then once I get up to 65 miles an hour it continues to whine! What are my options do I need to buy a new pump is there a replaceable bearing you guys have any insight I'd really appreciate it!

Check the power steering pressure hose. Its directly to the left of the pump. Mine did the same thing yours is doing and that was the problem! I have no clue about the whine though, I haven't been able to fix that yet.

I had my reservoir overflow once when I was coasting with the engine off while turning the wheel. I'm not sure why but it is just a thought.

Ok I will check the hose but I take the whining noise back it's more of a mix between metallic and plastic about the same rhythm of my valves it almost sounds like a bearing but its Has that plastic e sound not harsh metal on metal and I know it's coming from the power steering because I sprayed the bearing with NASA approved penetrating lubricant and it went away for about an hour minutes!

I just had that problem and I bought a seal kit for the pump and just rebuilt it. It was fairly easy and it eliminated my problem.

Hope that helps

No, my noise was mainly from the pump not having enough fluid in it. I would fill it all the way up, and that would stop it for a while; then the whining noise came back after enough fluid leaked out. Finally I just bought a seal kit and it hasn't happened again. You can easily tell if there is a leak from the pump because there will be fluid all over the place, eventually running down the front left shock. After I fixed it, I pressure washed the engime bay and under the car. This was not only to clean months worth of dirty gunked on fluid, but now it will be easy to see if it leaks again.
