Just introducing myself and my truck. I live in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area in CA. I bought this nicely optioned 84 Xtra-cab about a year ago down in Vista & have been slowly learning to maintain and fix what I can. I think it had around 74k miles on it and I've got it up to 82k or so now just daily driving it.
Since buying the truck I put in new shocks, an LCE header & new cat-back exhaust, begun restoration on my door-card & rear panel, sourced factory chrome wheels, and a rear window with defroster. Need to work on my breaks most urgently, as well as a knuckle rebuild when I can muster the courage. Still plenty of projects on the horizon, so I'm sure I'll be posting here occasionally with questions. For example, does anyone else's radio ever go on the fritz when starting their truck up? Not sure what's up...
