Does any one know how to put an 8274 in an ARB for an 80 series? I have seen it before and it takes some cutting of the upper bars but I don't have any pictures or measurements. I was hopping someone here had done it before.

I also need a controller for this thing, does anyone have one they will part with for a reasonable price?

Well its done. I decided it was better to cut the grill rather than the bumper. I spaced the winch out with pipe nipples to get it in place but I plan to replace it later with some heavy wall DOM.

While I was at it I wired up interior controls. Still working on relabeling the switch though.

If any one cares the pins on the back of the antenna switch for a 91-94 cruiser are as follows.

45-78
12-3

Pin 7 Common
Pins 5 and 8 Motor
Pins 1 and 2 Lights
Pins 3 and 4 Don't know

nice job. Is it the shiny gear box part that gets in the way of the lower cross bar? How tall were the nipple standoffs? Hypothetically speaking, is there enough room on the bumper to relocate the six mounting holes (per side) rearward to accommodate this winch?

yes, the gearbox is what interferes with the crossbar. I had the choice of notching the bar or molesting the grill.

There is not enough room to relocate the holes but, without cutting the grill or the bumper one can align the first set of holes on the bumper with the last holes on the frame.

The spacers are 1 1/2 inches plus a washer on each side.

Ok, good info. 1.5" is a substantial amount for sure; that puts things into perspective for me. If I were to find one of these bad boy winches, I think I'll redo the lower cross bar and leave the grill alone. I got an Aux fan back there and remove the grill at least once a year for PM work.
