In my search for a cruiser I ran across this 82' LX ! The dude was real cool and seemed informative. He explained that very very few Lx's ever came to the U.S. This is a RH drive w/ a funky interior, 3 Wiper Blades (uh huh-thats what i said). Am curious if any of you veterans are familiar w/ this model. Ps. They are asking 16.5 K See link for pics.http://www.globalclassicimports.com/feature_ebay_10.shtml#info

I have a 83 BJ42 LX from AUS and I dont believe any LX models came to U.S? The 3 wipers, sliding side windows, inside trim, forward facing rear seats, no roll bar were all part of that package from what I have gathered! That looks to be a clean one but I bought mine that has the diesel for 2/3rds of that? The diesels ususally go for more but it all depends on the buyer and what one is willing to pay? If you search BJ42 LX, or FJ40 LX on this forum you will find a few but not many, I try and collect and save any pics of LX models on my computer. SOR also has a 82 BJ42 LX in their gallery collection and is about the same color. As far as the options? I actually bought a late model rollbar for what sthe sense in having a vehicle like this and no rollbar + I am going to buy a softop, the 3 wipers are cool looking but are a bit busy while working them in the rain, the rear seats I like even though I am missing the 2 seater portion and still in search of which is not easy to find. the side sliding windows are nice for more airflow and SOR actually selss aftermarket ones now. The inside plastic panels and trim with carpet is a nice added touch but if you go to a softop then the rear plastic panels have to come out for they only fit when hardtop installed. I also have a LX brochure that someone sent me that I have saved on my hardtop with a few pics and specs! The LX models also dont have the windshield rubbers on the hood to fold windshield forward? I have only seen a couple of FJ40 LX's now in my search, seems to be more BJ's and mostly in AUS?

Very informative,,Thanks. The whole Cruiser market baffles me at times. Here is an LX model thats defnitely clean and rare but it doesn't fetch big money. Everything about it sais it should. Who knows. I'm just learning and have added these FJ's to my hobby list. I'm sure ill get a better understanding with time.
