I had to have my windshield replaced and had it done yesterday. The previous shop totally botched it up down to installing the gasket wrong and not initially gluing in the glass. So it leaked 100 yards from their shop as it was raining that day and they just squeezed in some glue to stop the leaks.

So this time I went in to Giant glass in North Andover armed with demands on how it was to be done. They kept the truck over night and did a great job. They followed my instructions and did it the way it should be done.

I thought it was a good deal and if anyone out there needs a windshield I would recommend this place.

Attached is a pick of a properly installed gasket. Where I'm pointing to is the witness marls of the old gasket where the front seal was on top of the fender and not tucked under.

Good to know Rick, My windshield is pitted and has a small crack in the works.

I have a white 80 in my garage that needs a windshield which won't be covered by insurance. I asked for a quote and because I've had this job done he quoted my 225.00 which was for the glass, gasket and installation.

Now I don't know if that price will hold true for others but if there are a few of us that need this work done I can ask about it. He mentioned they are slow right now so this might be a good time if it's going to be out of pocket.
