Figured I post a pic of my 80 while I'm at it. Still working on baselining this thing among other projects I have going. Currently working on the cooling system

Nice! Reminds me of my truck right before the Dusy-Ershim a few years ago - ARB bumper, de-flared, pre-Raptor lining. But no snorkle & I was running 35" Mud Terrains & a J-spring lift at the time, and I had Hanna sliders.

Funny thought, but would anybody have any idea on re-adding flares after a de-flare and Linex?

I still have my factory flares and miss them. My LineX looks great, dont get me wrong, but I feel as if it could get peeled off. The holes for my flares are just taped over with aluminum tape underneath. The only thing I am stumped about, is getting new hardware and tabs to re-rivet into the body on the rear door area. Its actually quite the project, but I talked to LineX in orange and they said they can remove it.
I've not tried to re-flare, but my liner has held up pretty well for several years now. It's just starting to get thin, and my aluminum tape is starting to show. I used Raptor U-Pol, self-applied spray-on, and have had only very minor peeling on a few edges. It's time for a re-application, so hopefully I'll be doing that soon.

Just wanted to check in, I'm an 80 owner in Mid City LA (West Adams) with a garage (sadly too low for my 80 to fit in it though) and a decent assortment of tools, so if anyone is looking to do a wrench day we could get something going. Maybe a monthly or something?
I'm in LA every week now to babysit my new granddaughter! Real close to you, my son lives near 9th & Crenshaw. There was a really sweet white FJ60 with a RTT parked on Crenshaw this morning.

I am looking to rebuild my birfs next weekend. Does anyone have some spare time to help out a new guy at this? I should have all the tools. Will look to pay it forward by helping out with some wrench time!

I'm going to be out of town with the family next weekend but if you are doing it during the week I can probably stop by some evening depending on where you are in the city?...let me know.
