Looking for an OEM starter for my '97 LX450 to rebuild. Mine is about ready to go tits up, I'm afraid. If I have to, I'll buy a new or rebuilt one but would rather do it myself to save a little cash and get some hands on experience rebuilding these starters.

Hey William I know there are still those two at Budget, I dont know if the FJ80 uses the same as the FZJ but may be worth some investigating.

I'll definitely check into it. I would just rebuild the one on my truck but I don't wanna screw it up and then not be able to start my truck.

So, apparently the starters for the FJ'S and FZJ'S are different. Kyle, do you remember if all the LC's at Budget are FJ'S or was there an FZJ as well?

I only remember looking at one of the rear axles and it was a a semi floater so FJ, not sure about the other one. I don't think budget would sell it as cheap as George is offering though.

Yeah I'm just afraid that after I pay what he wants plus shipping I'm in it for as much as I could get a remanned one from the dealership.
