Need to replace the shocks on my DD lx450. Parking garage clearance at the office requires stock height, anyone have an option before I give the dealer my money?
Thanks

Agreed on both points, I was trying to imply that I don't need/can't use longer shocks.
Thanks!

It's rumored the LX specific OEs produce a softer ride, opposed to the 80s, but can't imagine it'd be that much different.

Regardless, if you're only replacing shocks and not coils, it might be worth investigating the 80 shocks. If they are a little tighter, might bode well for tired coils, plus it'd be a lot cheaper to buy 80 shocks from Cdan than a Lexus dealer.

I have some used Bilsteins with 4-5k miles on them for sale. $200 They look and work as new. The ride is softer than stock 80 shocks so they would be perfect for your LX450. thogan7242@gmail.com

I had a LX450 for a while. The springs were very soft. The cheapest way to solve the LX450 ride is new shocks with landcruiser springs. I bet you can find the springs used for next to nothing.
