Went to buy a Cruiser today... Found on craigslist a 97 40th sage in color 4000.00$ bartlett Tn .. WARNING: This is a POS owner told me on the phone it had 220,000(238,000 actual) said interior was in great shape WRONG It was the nastiest thing I have ever sat in stuff gooped 1 inch thick in console. some kinda white stuff splattered all over the dash, seats and carpet multi-colored from all the stuff that has been split on it, holes in carpet. Antifreeze in passenger side floorboard about to spill out the door(Heater core?) Oil leak from top of motor down.all the way around, belts caught in fan. Antifreeze looked darkbrown and gooey. Said had new tires about 4mos ago they had about 1/16 tread on the mix matched tires. would only come off price 200$ He said a guy from Littlerock was coming to buy it Friday. He already took it off craigslist. If you are coming from littlerock PM me and I will call and tell you all about it to save you a trip.

I saw that one on CL, and being $4,000, it caught my eye also......looks like there was a reason for the $4K asking price, huh?

Few things piss me off more than a seller trying to lie his way into selling something! I mean, do they think describing it one way will mask the way it looks in person?

Sorry you got jacked around, Todd.........that sucks when it happens!
 
Just hate hate hate it when people on CL THINK their junk is worth gold because something else (in this case a good condition 40th 80) goes for good money. They won't budge on price, and you just wanna shake them!

Man how long was that thing on Craigslist? I usually check it every day and i didnt even notice it.
 
I am getting tired of CL ads that have no phone
number. It is very difficult communicating through
Email with some of the CL people.
 
Hang in there. Some of the best deals I've found were somewhat difficult in the communication department. I usually email with a phone number below my name. Some get the hint to give me theirs, but others you have to actually ask.
 
My guy passed on the one here in Jackson for $8500. Something screwy on that one's title.

He has an aunt that has a 2000 with 85,000 miles that he is working on getting her to sell him so he is not watching Craigslist every second anymore.
 
This is TRUE 80-series dreaming for me.......just look how clean and at-home this thing looks in an 80 engine bay!

Guess I need to change out the Roundup for water in the sprayer for my money tree!
