80 Axles on CL

I emailed the guy, this is what he said:

The front is out of a 95, the rear is out of a 93. The front has ABS knuckles and is set up for an elocker third member. Mileage was 124k on the truck the front came out of. The front was rebuilt then run for 400 miles in a land rover before it was pulled. These will no longer bolt into a stock fj80 as the brackets have been removed. I may seperate them, make me an offer if you are interested. Thanks

Could be a deal, for someone that could fab up some brackets to go back on it, but then again its been tainted by a Land Rover. If anyone has any sources they would like to share for a locked front housing, I would appreciate it, I'd like to replace mine sometime this winter.

I talked to Irbis Offroad out of Aurora CO, and they have locked axles for a 96-97. $1000 for complete, $300 for just the housing. If I go with these guys, I would send my brother to go buy it. Since its my brother, he has no idea what he is looking at, besides the actuator mount, anything else to identify that is a locked axle, or year?

$1000 for both front and rear axles?

I would also make sure the housing is not bent.

No, $1000 for just the locked front axle.

from what ive heard, not many axles get bent like mine, unless its been in a accident or they do something stupid like I did at Pismo.

Are you going to SnT this year? Lets go and test out the OME suspension before you replace the axle. I'll pay:popcorn:

I doubt im going to make it to the Surf N Turf this year, wifes schedules all screwed up around that time. And even if I was going, no more jumping for me, it would probably result in me hauling back a 3 wheeled cruiser.

I see your point about Irbis parts, I would definately want to see the donor vehicle.
