Local parts guy couldn't find it except as part of the whole rear harness. PM'ed Beno but figured the collective might know too.

I smashed mine pretty good on the trail! 06 truck as well.
Went to the dealer to check on replacement and they told me the same thing, part of a bigger harness and goes for around $350 with a discount! :(

They told me $197. If I can't find the part I guess a universal one spliced to the socket would work.

Beno just confirmed it is only available as part of larger harness to the tune of $240.

That sucks! Now you know why I haven't replaced it yet! Has been about a year n since haven't had the need to tow I just strapped the thing up w tape. One day...

This would be a sign for those of us that have undamaged sockets to go relocate them to a safer spot.

Somce the pigtail is still good on yours, it would be a pretty easy exercise to splice in a new 7 pin socket. If your not confident in your solder/splice skills, there are waterproof inline wire crimps that could help.

No problems splicing in another, just figured if I could pick up an OEM one that bolts straight into the existing mount then great. I expected $40 not 2-300. So a splicing I will go and relocating while I'm at it.

Same here, wanted to just plug it in for a lot less $! No problem with wiring, this is just not high in the priority list.

I guess the silver lining is that now I can locate it closer to the hitch rather than all the way out by the corner of the bumper. The stock location is kinda dumb. The wires on my friends trailer were barely long enough when I would make a sharp right turn.
