SOLD March 1979 FJ40 2F 4sp tranny, 4” lift in Georgia. (Newnan 30263) I am third owner.
5 years ago I began to disassemble this road worthy rig for a frame off restoration. 4 years, 9 months ago I began divorce proceedings. Sooooo, I have - FJ40 in multiple pieces with many extras for rebuild in storage that I have realized I will not be able to get to anytime soon.
I am going to offer this as package deal for about two weeks at $3850. If no takers then the part out begins! Please do not ask, offer or “line up” for parts until then.
Below is a short list of what I have and a little info. Basically I have everything needed plus extras to complete the restore close to original.
-2f – was running fine with no major leaks and no smoke
-Frame- IMO, real good shape. No rot, cracks, flaking etc.
Metal:
-original tub was removed. The red tub in pics is good but just sitting on rig. It has been patched in places on floor by po. The only real issue is partial floor pan to bottom of the cowl needs addressing
-Cowl is real good until the lower portion.
-Windshield frame is great with glass
-Front fenders- Left is unremarkable, Right is real good except one spot that the rust has been stopped (primed area in pic)
-Aprons are great
-2 Bibs, the original has rust on bottom but has screen, headlight buckets, and rims and Toyota emblem the other bib is in real good shape
-Tops - two complete, have glass for all
-Best Top soft top and doors. One 4” tear, other than that good shape
-Ambu/barn doors 3 sets. One set is with very little rust on bottom corners
-Diamond plate aluminum to completely wrap a tub inside and out
-Roof rack with surface rust, Mount for high lift, mounting brackets restored
-Practically new set of after market wagon wheels and tires these were serving as “roll-a-round”
