So what are you going to do next week when its finished?
haha. drive the bejesus out of it. gonna give the engineer a call and try and tee up an inspection monday week. still a heap of things to do but should be able to knock them out during the week.

We've got a horse float to collect from Smithton soon, which is about 4hrs drive away. I had planned on doing a shakedown run to collect it as we have a pony club thing near the end of the month.. The wife also wants me to fix up the horse float and paint it 2 tone like the pig.. same colors tooo.. so no doubt thats next on my list too..

struggled with the door handles last night and therefore took me all night to fit just the 2nd row door handles. i needed the hands of a 9yr old to get in there and do up the bolt.

today i primed and painted the hinges. and tonight i finished off the 2nd row doors with a fresh 10mm hole for central locking, 10mm formsheild and a dose of cavity wax. ended up having to replace the springs in both hinges and add a missing pin to one.

with both doors hung i checked the central locking and test fit a door seal from the 80. ive got some 3m weatherstrip adhesive to modify and fix the bottom section which doesnt have a channel to sit in.

If you need to cut and rejoin the seal , this stuff seems to work really well. I'm currently using to make my cargo window seals.

When I did the door seals on the 45 I used lots of bulldog clips to hold it in place while the 3m cured.

Thanks folks.. not quite there yet.. need to be driving the kids to school in it to feel like i've accomplished what I set out to do :p but this is a good feeling to see it complete like this.. the doors came off feb 21 2016.. some time ago!
