78 FJ40 with parts trucks. Located in Grand Rapids, MI SOLD!!
I have a solid, running and drivable 78 FJ40, a complete 78 parts truck, and an 85 FJ60 with a solid drive train. All these must go. I would prefer to sell as a package.
The 78 driver, is from Utah and is very solid. It's not perfect, but would be a great driver or wheeler. There are some bubbles on the rockers, and that's about it. The floors are perfect. The front fenders look like they've been repaired with a bit of bondo. Mechanically, it could use a little tuning. I've driven it a half dozen times to work, and have not had any problems. That's about a 40 mile round trip. The only thing I've noticed is the idle will change. Some days it idles perfect, other days it will idle high. I think the carb just needs to be cleaned or rebuilt. The rest of the fuel system is pretty new. It had a brand new tank and lines installed before I bought it, and I just replaced the fuel pump a few weeks ago. The po also installed all new brakes front and rear. They work very well. Comes with a hard top with ambulance doors, the soft top from the parts truck, and a bikini top. I only have full hard doors for it.
The 78 parts truck appears to be complete, and has some great parts that I had planned on pulling for the good truck. It has a pretty nice soft top. It needs some zipper attention, but there are no holes or tears. It has an aftermarket carb. It also has a header, and a pretty new 4" skyjacker lift kit. You can still read the part numbers on the spring packs. I have no idea what condition the engine is in. It didn't have a radiator or fuel pump when I got it, and the transfer case was apart. The body is pretty rough. The entire tub has panels riveted on, to cover the old rust. The front clip, and cowel are in pretty good shape. I had considered keeping the frame and front clip and back halving it.
The 85 is strickly for the engine trans and t-case. The trans are split case are nice and tight yet. I was going to swap them into the 78.

I AM NOT looking to part these out at this time. I would prefer to sell them all as a package.
Prices are all over on these things, but I think the driver alone is worth 3-4k. I would like to get $4500 for the whole package.
I will throw in the trailer for another $500. It has an all steel tilting deck. I WILL NOT sell the trailer unless I sell the truck.
