I bought this truck almost two years ago. The po had restored the truck and it only had 5k on a rebuilt 2f motor and everything else had been gone through from what i was told.The po rolled the truck so i bought it for parts but decided to try and straighten it out enough to save another 40. The frame is straight and shows no signs of any damage
I replaced the radiator,exhaust (magna flow 2.5"),all brakes (front discs rear drum)have been gone through including a new booster,windshield,front fenders,hood and bib.It has an optima red top. i had to pull the dash forward and pound out some dents. I added a 6 point cage that bolts to the dash to add strength.It has an ome lift(w/add a leaf in the rear), 5- 33x10.5 bfg mud terrains (75% 1 new) with 1.5 inch marlin spacers, tuffy center console w/ stereo (ipod hookup), amp and 2 6x9's.
The body is by no means perfect but it seems only to have a few trouble spots and nothing a little time couldnt take care of. It has a back yard rattle can paint job, but is really in pretty good shape.
The truck runs and drives excellent! I would not hessitate to hop in the truck and drive it anywhere in the country.Everything works,f/r heaters, rear jumps seats in great shape.Fronts are not bad but not perfect.Has hard top and rear ambulance doors good shape, does not come w/front hard doors, only soft (not sure if you could get hard doors to fit)
I did a poor job on the desmog and the carb could use some love from J C. you have to use the choke on cold starts but after it heats up it starts and runs excellent!All fluids (4sp trans, transfer f/r diffs) have all been replaced with synthetic as well as the engine.
the odometer read 121,xxx and i think that is the actual miles but not sure.Rebuilt motor now has approx. 10k
