Hi fellas I'm newby to this joint although over the years on my build the knowledge on this site is very helpful. Iv got a 75 series ute 85 model with a newly rebuilt 12ht in her, on 35"s. I recently put a gturbo on her and up graded the intercooler. But I have an ongoing problem with the water temp cooling efficiency. As the hj61"s have a bigger radiator than the 75"s. Has any one modified a radiator i.e. Put bye passes in and change return to the opesite side any help would be great thanks fellas. I run mostly through the top end wa and territory.

You can upgrade you radiator to an aluminum, increase flow through you exhaust and intake will help.

70 series have tiny grill and I see yours is completely blocked by your spotties. Those won't help your cause one bit

get rid of your spotties. I have same problem. I had my radiator rebuilt with a new core. Didn't help. If you search for my threads you can see what all I have done with no success :-( Finally installed Evans Waterless coolant, at least I know the water temps can safely get a bit hotter with no bad effects. My original radiator top and bottom have finally gotten to the point of not being able to keep it from developing leaks due to old age, so ordered a new aluminum rad from PWR in Australia with a couple of mods. I had them extend the length by 2" and put a piece of pipe in the header tank that lets the water enter the radiator at the mid point instead of on the factory right side. Will have to wait till I get it to see if any of this helps.

Nah I got a aluminum housing machined up that fits on my thermostat housing to turn the out pip to face across the engine bay 45 degrees from original position. Then just went to super cheap and found a pipe.

What type of intercooler? W2A or A2A, front or top mount? If it's not getting enough air flow an intercooler can become a heat sink
