74 fj40 $7500.00 Priced Reduced

$7500.00

Well 2012 was a pretty awful year. I find myself needing some cash.
So my Cruiser is for sale. As badly as I don't want to do it I have to.

In 2008 I stripped it to bare metal and repainted. I have full documentation on this.

It has been in my possession since I believe 1998. In 1999 I did the V-8 conversion with TH350, Saginaw P/S and Disc Brakes.

It has front and rear Lockrights, Rancho 9000's, Warn 8274, 4 Plus front bumper
OME 2 1/2 spring and 1 1/2 shackle lift
BFG 35X12.5 M/T
Kayline Fast Trac soft top and a bikini top.

My baby is not stock it was built to have fun in the mountains. And we did!

Everything is in working order it is going to need some TLC.

Color is T-12 Cygnus White

PM me and we will exchange info

Thanks Jim

Here are some pics from tonight. Sorry They are not better. When I did the paint every bolt that was removed was replaced. Exterior bolts were stainless steel.

Please define "TLC". Looks great to me. What does it need. I'm looking for something I can drive at freeway speeds then do some 4 wheeling and drive home. How it she on the highway?

Define TLC has been asked twice today. So when I say it needs some TLC. What I mean is I did the engine conversion in 1999. That was 14 years ago. It may need a Radiator hose. I did the suspension early 1999 may need some bushings. From 2000 till 2008 I pretty much just admired it. When I did the paint work I was totally engulfed in bodywork. Which I have a very thick folder of all receipts. Also a very large amount of photo's. After we were done my buddy and I went on several wheeling and shooting trips. In 2010 I bought a business and worked at least 6 days a week. Sometimes 7 and all holidays. When I did have time off I had yard work family and other vehicles to take care of. I can tell you that it does a leak at the steering gear and transfer case output. Will it cruise at highway speeds? Well that is a subjective question. Yes it will cruise 60-65 mph very easily. I never pushed it above that. Because after all it is a cruiser and why would you want to go faster than that. In 1999 I did have the pleasure of driving it to Ouray Co. It did just fine because I was younger and tougher. The reason I make the, it may need some TLC comment. Is because I am anal and honest. I don't want you to think you are getting a Barrett Jackson $50,000.00 cruiser. What I am selling is a very nice cruiser. That I built to have fun with. Everything I did was to keep it as simple as possible. I have been in the automotive aftermarket business for a real long time. If you are interested I will explain that comment in further detail. Hope I have not offended anyone. Oh and have a  on me.

The engine is a Western Auto remanufactured engine. The transmission was rebuilt by a local transmission shop.

Do you have the rear jump seats and does any of the body or undercarriage have any spray on liner? I like what you have done, it looks great. Any rust on the frame or body? Thanks for your time

The under body where all of the rust repair was done. Was pressured washed and I sprayed bed liner on all under body and frame rails. The front frame rails were taken care of when I did the engine conversion. I used oven cleaner and a crap load of water. Than I spray painted.

Reading comprehension is not my greatest asset. No I do not have the jump seats. The interior is also bed liner.

Sorry about the shi*** cell phone pics in my garage. I can do better this weekend if needed.
