As far as I know the 70 series is still being today. Should clarify which 70 series. Nothing special about the 70 series split transfer case as far as I know. The shifter may be a little different. 10/82+ all split transfer cases should have the fifth gear oiler. Believe 4/86 is when the idler switched to 38 MM from 34 MM. Also believe same issue using a spline case from a FJ62 automatic but can be modified.
