Hi all, relatively new to the LC realm. Getting my 2005 HZJ78R ready for a trip around Aus. Suspension has had some airbags put in but otherwise I believe is stick and unchanged since manufacture. I'm able to get my hands on some new suspension from a 2023 78 or 79 series with very little KMs on it.

Just wanting to know if this will fit my 2005 troopy or not?

Cheers.

Hello,

The front axle became wider after 2006 in the 70 Series.

The rear axle remained unchanged after 2006.

OEM front shock absorbers changed after 2006.

OEM Front shock absorbers and springs may not be a direct fit.

Aftermarket parts may have the same issue with the front axle.

Is the newer suspension OEM or aftermarket?

Thanks Juan that's really helpful. The newer stuff is all OEM.

Hello,

According to the parts catalog, front axle springs are compatible. Shock absorbers have a different part number. It might be worth a chance to check whether the shock absorber you have fit.

Again, according to the parts catalog, make sure you get the OEM pins and shackles for the rear axle. It will make things easier.
