I have a 1996 hard top 70 pictured below

And I'd like to upgrade the dashboard with the one installed on the 2012 gr70 series. I just bought everything but I'm missing wiring diagram for the connections. Can someone help me with those? Thanks

Hello,

Do you have a harness, junction box, sensors and cables?

Starting in 1999, the 70 Series panel changed to a mostly electronic setup. The combination meter is connected to a junction box. For instance, the transmission has a pickup sensor that connects to this box with a cable that looks a lot like the speedo cable.

From 2010 on, as far as I know, there is also a CANBUS (not sure about the spelling) component. I understand that components like the indicator relay were replaced by an all-electronic setup.

Regarding schematics, there is a subscription-based resource from Toyota. You pay a subscription for, say, one week and you can download the manuals you need. For the details, the search function is your friend.

Not 2010 but 2016+ the clusters integrate the turn signal flasher.

Cheers

Thanks juan, but I know it has been done before. I've seen it working with a 3f engine, even older vehicle (1992)
As for the speedo, Im trying to make an adapter in order to install the 1gr engine speedo sensor on my gearbox.

I'm figuring if anyone has those wiring diagrams, that'd save me some time

I think it's mainly analog still on 2012. So I'm still safe I guess
