the only thing cooler than your old 74 is a 77... one day, one day me hopes for an hzj-t 77 auto w/ lockers

If you were talking about mine, it is a 73 hard to tell from photos until you here NOMAD running...and VIAJADOR has OEM e-lockers.

BTW: NOMAD my '90 HZJ-T 73 will be up for sale later this spring, she has just finished having a complete thorough bath to get her insides cleaned as she was dragging around quite a bit if dust and dirt from Moab, Baja, to name a few. Just waiting for warmer weather to put her carpet, panels, seats etc. back together and then a thorough exterior cleaning, buffing/polishing and wax. NOMAD has an extensive list of mods aimed directly at serious expedition touring. She was featured in Toyota Trails last March/April and is the April centre fold in the Toyota Calendar for sale now.

Is that the 77 that was for sale last winter in Penticton or southern okanagan?

I was looking at it, and it seemed like a good deal! with some nice options. I couldn't convince the banker that it was a good idea, since we had a lj78 sitting in the garage (with a busted head).

how is the power feel between those 2?

Being a relative noob compared to Crushers, Raddcruisers, RoscoFJ73, et al., I'd have to say the 1 cyl less and a manual trani and slightly less weight make the 77 comparable to the 73's extra cyl, auto trani and more weight. I liked 77 for the extra room it gave me.

Yes, that's the one. I had been watching it for over a year. I think poor advertising (one small less known OK site) and the general drop in popularity of the RHDs in BC (ICBC chat) and his desperation (actually his wife's more) were definite factors and showed in the difference in price from initial to final asking prices and then the negotiating afterwards.

It was in very good shape (Wayne can attest to that), low miles and quite a bit of bling on it (ARB RR [4 sale], Front bumper) and a huge and expensive stereo install. The price and timing was right. I heard a few people were watching it fall but didn't move in time.

BTW: John/Jeramiah - Sorry for the hijack, just answering questions.
