Reserve is $12k, buy it now is $13,500. If you PM me beforehand and bid (let me know your ebay login), I'll give you a $500 Mud discount off your winning bid price if the reserve is met (you bid $12k and win, your price is $11.5k). I'm not in a rush to sell (will probably regret it later, or be glad if it doesn't sell) so while it's a very good deal I think, it's not a steal.

Here's the ebay text...

As much as I hate to do it, I am selling my 1967 FJ40. I've had this truck for two years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I'm selling now since the truck isn't big enough to camp with my family and I have a 100 Series that I'm building for that purpose. The only stipulation on the sale is that someday if you decide to sell it, I get first dibs!!!

This is a beautiful 1967 Land Cruiser. 4th owner. Oxnard California car until 2 yrs ago. It has been garaged in GA since. I've put about 2k miles on it, mostly to and from modest expedition style camping trips. It is a perfect blend of true off-road capability, but with the look and drivability of a daily driver.

The pictures show the truck as a softtop. (There is one picture with the hardtop from when I bought the truck... the look has changed, but you can see the excellent shape of the hardtop) I have the hard top in storage and will put it back on the truck for shipping unless you are local and would like to keep it as is.

Here's what I know about the truck, and what I've done to it over the years.

Rebuilt engine top end - Stock "F" engine - This was done by the PO. It's never let me down and burns no oil. Very decent gas mileage. 15 - 16 or so. Very solid.

Lots of great mods designed to make this a great daily driver or killer off-road truck.

Maintenance kept up to date religiously. Not a single mechanical issue to worry about.

New ARB lockers front and rear - (This is by far the best locker setup you can put in an off-road truck)

Warn 8274 winch (Best winch you can buy... they last forever)

Saginaw Power Steering

SM420 tranny - 4spd with "Granny" 1st gear for crawling. Nice to have the 2nd gear synchro and granny gear!

33x10.5 Goodyear MT's 85%

Electronic ignition

Front disc brakes -

Longfields in the front, fine spline axles in the back - (Longfields are virtually indestructable and lifetime warranty... solves the "problem" with breaking birfields)

4" spring lift

Rollcage

Solid Rock Offroad sliders (replaced the stock steps but still have them)

New clutch plate

Soft top - hard top is still in great shape in storage - Extra set of soft half doors

New Windshield Gasket

Bikini top - like new

New radiator

Rebuilt carb

Custom skidplate

Lockable storage drawer under back seat.

Afternarket Tach and Temp guage on steering column.

Seats are new, cloth... covered by what you see in the picture for protection.

You will not be dissapointed in this truck. $10k in upgrades to what was a perfect mostly stock truck.

if you are looking for the perfect fj40 at the faction of the price you just found it.....!!!!!! awsome rig

Nice ride.

Questions-Why are there two holes in the front of the hood or am I seeing things and is the bezel supposed to be mounted with the thick side down? ;)

I got the cruiser with the two holes... no idea why they are there. Undocumented feature I guess.

You are right... seems 40's sell a lot better with the bezel upside down on evilbay  What was I thinking putting it right side up? You'll notice the old pic from when I bought it has the bezel upside down. That's why I bought it of course!

Beautiful truck. Are you running the TJ flares?

Thanks... it is a nice truck. Going once more through the ebay and then I think I'll give up on the sale and keep 'er forever.

Yes. on the flares.. bought it that way. Not a huge fan, but they look fine.

Couldn't do it. Just canceled the auction.

Probably a bug guard was mounted there.

I was wondering if maybe it had one of the t-birds (25 emblems) at some point., don't know where they mounted exactly.
Good call on keeping it.
