65 fj45 Longbed Land Cruiser (landcruiser) fj45 longbed pickup - $12,500 FIRM - THE PRICE IS NOT GOING DOWN - (IF YOU ARE A GRINDER THEN SORRY FOR HURTING YOUR FEELINGS - I THINK IT'S A GOOD DEAL AND IT'S MY TRUCK! HAHA- NO SERIOUSLY, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT - IF I GET DESPERATE I'LL LET YOU KNOW!

I know you guys like to put all your reasons and a bunch of touchie-feelie stuff about your history with your rig and your regret for the need to sell. I have had this thing for apx. 15 years and I have been a pretty good steward of this rig. I have some 8 vehicles right now and I need to thin it down and get a good tow rig.- so do the math.

Consider trade for a strong tow rig.

HERE ARE THE DETAILS:

1965 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 Pickup- longbed - removable top

Less than 10k on strong late-60s F (inline 6)
Mild cam, weber 2bbl carb, header, HP dist.
Toyota power steering setup with chevy pump
Chevy alternator
Custom bracket for York A/C compressor (tire pump or a/c)
Early 80s axles with front disk brakes, rear auto-adjusting brakes, 3.73:1 gears and e-brake
spring over axle lift with custom reverse shackle conversion - drives great - lift can be reversed with no welding
33" Yokohama tires with 80% or tread remaining on older chrome spoke rims.
body is very straight as almost no rust and was stripped and painted black apx 5 years ago
top had some rust but was taken apart and completely restored
wiring is in very good shape
original 3-spd transfer case with high/low on the dash
Ricaro seats custom fitted- have some rips but very comfortable
All new window rubber and windshield was replace with Toyota original
gauge cluster cleaned up and reset to zero
HD 4-row radiator with 2f fan/clutch/shroud
no leaks except very minor oil seepage from an unknown location
due to some custom work during the conversion the steering wheel is removable as an anti-theft devise

Needs:
has a blown rear axle seal on one side - still stops good
switches and gauges were never hooked up
rear corner windows need installed - have new rubber
wind wings need rubber or complete the custom wood moldings i was making
tailgated never got painted - hardware was blasted and epoxy primed
custom rear bumper hitch got torqued up (tree stump) and needs some work to make the receiver usable
rear shocks are on the short side because the mounts were never relocated
running boards were never installed or restored but I have them
there are a few paint s****es and wear but overall looks respectable

EXTRAS:
4" bold-together roll bar that bolts into the bed
custom bed wall support for running no tailgate
misc new parts that were never put on

PS

The reason I posted is because the truck sounded familiar. Nothing else, it is a simple as that. I do keep track of trucks out there, and when I find the one that I really like I will buy it. If there is no love, I pass on it.

Sold it 2 years ago. I do not have any cruisers right now. I am in Florida.

yea... well i really don't think it reflects well that you bring up some negative question about me trying to sell my rig for 2 years implying that there is something wrong with it or me - not to mention the fact that no doubt you already knew the answer to the question if you just look at my avatar and maybe take 2 min. to research my posts. I don't know you but it seems like you think you are some official national 45 market tracker or something. You say you are looking to buy a truck, just buy one already. I have seen tons of good 45 deals come and go and some of them have sat on the market for a while due to the economy. Again, I really don't know you but you seem kinda like a nosy talker-type.

umm... no I had a great day. I just wanted to make myself clear. If you read the top part of my ad/post, it should give you and idea that I am pretty straight-forward and not really wanting to play the typical schmooze game right now. I know the economy is in the toilet. Most people can't afford luxuries like rare vintage 4x4s but I also don't want to be bothered with 'grinder-types' or commentary from the sidelines.

I agree with 65FJ45 that when you sell, people get tired of the pawn shop attitude at looking for the person hungry to sell for needs. I know it is legal but I consider anyone trying to prey upon a persons bad situation needs a head banging. If someone says a firm price, honor it. If you want to fish, get a job in a Vegas pawn shop.

thank you! - and very well put

All goods have a actual market price, depending on demand, whether a car, a house or shares or something else... easier to see the actual offer and demand prices of shares. Sell or buy within a second the share you own or want is common, different to immobile goods like houses, mobile goods like cars and so on ;) .
So if you don`t find someone who pays your asking price you have to wait * or adjust your price ... it`s so easy ;)

Cheers
Peter

* ... nobody knows what the future brings.... a better economy and better prices or a lower ..... that`s life
...fascinating ;)

yeap, looking for an original, nice fj45 though.

I just read this post again. This is pretty RUDE too - regarding the 'nice' comment. Also though this truck is not 'original' in many ways it could easily be put back to original and the body is in 'very good' condition regarding 'straightness' and rust. Have you seen, heard or driven this rig?

This is from a guy who 'says' he is looking to buy a rig for 2 years and admitted he owns no cruisers. Sounds to me like a dreamer / talker and someone who really needs to feel important by cutting other people's stuff down. Have some class.
