This is the 64 fj40 that I was wanting info regarding an engine swap. I found that it has a 73 F engine so originality is no longer a concern. Follow link for more pictures.

Sure looks nice and tidy. And I thought mine was good (as far as being straight and rust-free) yet yours is quite a few years older!

The turn signals and tail lights are in the back of the truck. Now just trying to get the nerve to tear it down to paint. Trying to decide which original color to use. The color chart that is referenced on this site does not show colors for 64. The original color I think was lily white which looks like very light yellow. It is still under all the rubber.

No, those are the bib lights, although some people have wired those up to work like turn signals.

That 40 looks pretty good as is, I think if the fiberglass top was still white it would look even better. Plus once you tear it down and repaint it you'll want to baby it and not put a single scratch on it. Strangely, I kinda wish my 40 was faded and rusty, that way I could really use it without cringing.
