62 Gearbox (1 Viewer)

The gearbox in my HJ62 (manual) is causing me some concern. It is hard to engage gears (particularly 2nd) when the truck is cold. Once I've covered a few miles it seems to ease off and gear selection seems much more fluid. Do Landcruiser gearboxes have to warm up before they work to their optimum performance? Or is there another explanation? ???

When was the last time you changed the Lube? Try a good synthetic....also when warming it up, maybe put the Ebrake on, the Tcase in neutral and the tranny in 2'nd.
