Have a new to me 2010 LX and maybe this is normal but it seems to me that when driving around a parking lot at slow speeds the transmission can't seem to figure out what gear it wants. When coming to a complete stop it's fine but while driving at slow speeds it takes a second to decide and it's a bit jerky. is this normal? Had a 4sp 100 series before and it didn't do this.

Thanks,

Jeff

I have 2009 TLC and yes it is normal as 1st gear is very short , I sometimes engaging Start 2nd button, but that is dangerous especially when you stop uphill , the car will be rolling back.

Weird, parking lot speeds mine is fine in full auto - but I'm on 35's so maybe that fixes it.

What if you just slap shift around the parking lots, then kick it over to auto when in traffic on the streets?

We have an 08 LC & 99 LC and honestly I prefer the driving "experience" of the 4 speed in the 99. I like how it holds gears. Especially in Northern Ga where we have tons of hills. I hate the constant shifting in and out of overdrive in the 08. On the 99 once it hits 4th gear it stays there. But the 08 is constantly shifting.

I've not noticed this at all. It's buttery smooth in mine.

The one case when I experienced it being jumpy at low speeds is when I inadvertently forget to turn off the "ETC PWR" after towing. It doesn't make the transmission shift rough per say, just the throttle being touchy and jumpy.
