6.5 conversion.....turbo upgrade?

Hi!

My 100 series has a 6.5 liter chev conversion.I am looking to put a turbo kit on it but was stumped as to what manifold to use?This is a common enough conversion in australia but im trying to souce the turbo acc my self.In other converted toyotas Ive seen the turbo mounted on the right hand side on the inner guard.

would any one know of a truck in the states with a similar set up?

My guess is that there are close to zero folks running a 6.5L chevy diesel conversion in the US. I don't think i have heard of anyone even running an OEM diesel converted 100 on here.

Check the diesel forum or hardcore corner. I'm people have done the conversion on 60's, maybe even a few 80's.

The GM 6.5 is swapped into jeeps sometimes because it is a fairly common and simple swap as they are cheaply available from all of the Chevrolet military 1.25 ton trucks and uses the same mounts as a GM 350. The Banks Power kit is the only kit I've heard of people using on them.

That kit says it's for the 6.2L, are they the same block?
