Well it sounded real good driving it onto trailer at Major Muffler then driving it off at Eric's. Eric has been polishing it and I am in no rush, I like to just let the kid do his thing. He really gets it done, so I am just enjoying the build even more cause it is happening at his place. It has been somewhat of a PITA as it seems every time you turn around there is another issue. Eric has been very patient and thurough at working his way thru the project so all the little stuff is handled. When it comes back I'll have mainly 2 things left to do. Hook the snorkel back up if I wanna fab an air box and redo some old wiring as needed and install 2nd battery

And figure out what that skinny pedal is really for, muuhaahaaa!!!!

just remeber to keep an emgerncy foot just above the fat pedal too.

Test drive developments :

Driver side front caliper is sticking and needs replacement

Starter is not 100% and when Eric went to replace he found the exhaust guy had run the exhaust as to trap the starter so back to Major Muffler.

Engine has a slight miss that we have no idea about. Checking throttle body and replacing plugs, hope it clears it up. Engine not throwing any codes so hope it is a tune up issue or just motor learning again, we'll see.

Patience is a virtue.

OH sure you go to Major Muffler, say HI to Kevin, and you don't even swing in and say Hello. Come on man I am damn near right across the street. I see how you are, just wait til you need to be led back to camp again.

all done just had a cracked spark plug. I hope LC pinions hold up to 3 gear burn outs

Uh, WOW.

This thing is nuts. Everything done, just need to clean up loose ends and figure out why e-barke does not work. Brakes are a little spongy too.
No problem with burnouts. fawk spinnin donuts, the marks on the pavement look like a phone cord. You just lay on it and instantly gone, twisted and who knows where it will stop. Gonna take some gettin used to.
LQ9 flat rips.

Piss,

That looks very nice.

I see some broken pinions in your future...

Charles

Yeah, my nephew was getting Baptized so family trumped fun.
Still no e-brake and I decided to fix t-case poppin outa gear issue when we are in there to fix e-brake.
All electrical is done except adding solar panels.
Still needs line lock on front brakes
Needs engine skid/protector for alum. oil pan
Rear swing out and luggage rack modifications

Make no mistake tho, it is fully operational and ready to wheel, I just wanna get all this stuff done while it is wet.

How nice is it when your motor starts as soon as you twist key, been waiting 10 years for that, how sweet it is. I just go out and start it every once in a while and when it starts right up I just smile, turn it off and walk away totally satisfied.

other benefis is I got rid of a cracked bell housing

I'll post some pics when I get it back if I can figure out how to get a star.

who's figuring out all the other stuff mentioned? :D
John, no more excusses...you got to pull it out and let us see it sooner or later.
Can it make it to Sonoma yet?

Very possible. That is a good long drive with plenty of pull off loctions and a great spot to leave it if it has a problem, Gary's...

I feel a paint job might just be around the corner. I like the burnt orange shade or maybe just another coat of hunters camo, there is some fairly poor spots around the tub but not too bad. I don't think I would fix to much. Just patch one little hole, comp cut the rear fenders, make custom flares and then paint it.

PAINT! You don't need no stinkin' paint :D

But we want to see pics,

Denied once yes you were but the hill is waiting John......and it awaits your return :) If it's a bone daddy equipped approved rig you know it will stay together, his qualified R&D crew in enginering has worked out the weak links in design. (insert Captain Morgan pose here) :)

Hey John,

cough cough sputter sputter, or VVVRROOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM ???

how come we no hear about the new power plant?

hope the new motor helps ya out

Running well, Eric did a real nice job. Good luck with the baby.
