Bear80, Yes i had them installed (50w halogen backup bulbs), i mean yes its bright but its not as real bright compare to LEDs bulbs. What i mean by bright is on the LED is real white like those Xenon headlights. (Benz, bimmer & new Lex)while the 50w halogen bulb is just bright but still yellowish.
Next week ill take pics for both (50w halogen bulbs vs LED bubs <- both will be use for back up lights so you can see the big diff)

Look forward to seeing the pics EnDLeSS.

I was just thinking the same thing while backing up the other night, I need brighter lights! I had the halogen bulbs in my old trooper, was an improvement. I thought about mounting a back up light on my rack and just flipping the switch while backing up. But then there's all the wiring and crap.

50w halogen bulbs make quite a difference over the stadard. You shouldn't have an issue with heat unless you back up for miles at a time!. My auxiliary back up light, came with a 50w (H4 I believe) bulb, I exchanged it with a 100w. No question on where you are backing now!! With all that wattage I put in a relay.

Concrete, much easier to splice in an auxilary back-up to exisiting wiring than running wire and a switch. But then again if you splice into existing, you loose the option of turning it on other than while in reverse.

I believe you can splice it into exisitng back up wire and also switch it. I have read where others have done that. I haven't tried it yet.

I really need some training on electrical stuff. I almost burned the cruiser down just trying to install the hellas. Needless to say, i melted the relay and they still aren't on. I would like to have a switchable back up light. That way if someone is riding my ass i can beam them.
