5.0 Chevy Tpi

I am looking at installing a 5.0 chevy TPI motor in my 78 fj40. I found a killer deal on the complete engine, is anyone running the 5.0 in an fj40? How is the power and fuel milage? How is the reliability? This is a speed density set up not a MAF.
I will be running an sm 465/Marlin Toy Box/LC transfer case w/35"s and 4.10 gears.

Got the exact same setup (minus the toybox) sitting in my garage, one of these days I may actually put it in.

I have heard that the Speed Density adaptor to the transmission is expensive, do a search, I remember reading something about it.

I did it in an 83 Hilux..................I recommend NOT getting a Painless Harness
had too many problems with it(CEL would never go out no matter what I did)

Go with Howell(unless you're gonna modify the stock one)

It was a 350 with MAF, It had a butt-load of power but the CEL problems pissed me off, it had to Cali smog legal, it made for a nice package
