How did this work out for you? I’m local too and need a ship to do a suspension and tire refresh - nobody near me will touch it.
The good:
1. They're a Dobinson dealer, so they ordered those parts at the same price as other dealers.
2. They also installed aftermarket LCA's.
The bad:
1. They didn't open the KDSS accumulator valves. They said they often don't do that for KDSS, without issues. Well, the added pressure caused a leak in the accumulator. Taking off the cover, the accumulator had severe corrosion to the point where the flare connection was visible. So, it's a good thing that it happened then, as it allowed me to address it.
2. The grease nipples for the LCA's were installed so that they're unreachable. They didn't fix that.
3. I have tire rub on the driver side, same wheels/tires as I had. They didn't fix that.
4. I doubt they test drove the vehicle when done, as they would have noticed #1 and #3.
5. The AC was working fine before the work, it then did not blow cold air on the way home. Coincidence? Who knows.
6. Built For the East may be good for Jeeps (as they work mostly on them) but I wouldn't try them for anything else. They're also too far from Boston to make them convenient for any ancillary issues. Sure, I could use up my AAA but why should I? They pretty much ghosted me when I inquired about #1 and #3.
The other:
1. For the KDSS, I had to replace the accumulator, front lines and front cylinder. I contacted ROKO and was told Wellesley Toyota does their suspension work. Fortunately, the tech there (Phil) has knowledge in KDSS and did a good job. Very informative and willingly used my provided parts.
2. ROKO/Wellesley Toyota don't use Dobinson. But, I would think Phil knows how to install them, assuming one picks the right parts.
So, for your work, if you pick a setup that others use and you know will work, Wellesley Toyoto is worth a try. If you have KDSS issues, definitely worth a try. In fact, I found no other dealer to tackle that!
