So I just got mine home. Auto hubs with push button for 4 high.
Light comes on showing hubs are locked, light comes on for 4 high. No 4 wheel drive though. Jacked up one side, pushed hub lock button and 4 wheel drive both light up. Front drive shaft locks but front wheels still spin freely by hand.
Bad e-hubs? What should I check first?

You jacked up the front or only one side of the truck? If you only did one side your 4wd might still be working. I’d lift the entire truck off the ground and put it in 4wd and see if front and back wheels spin.

No they dont, I tried that too. Front drive shaft locks but front wheels free spin

I would say one or both of the hubs are not working. The lights are on a timer and not a micro switch type indication when something moves. Damaged brushes are the most common problem as people dont know how to fit it back together after a hub service and break them off..... get someone to operate them while you put your ear against the hub.... You should be able to hear the little motor run...

If hub motors are activating properly and t case is locking up front driveshaft and still no 4 wheel drive what could that be? If t case is going into 4 wheel drive and hubs are locked it should work, correct? If diff is damaged I should be able to hear something making noise inside i would think

Although some folks have good luck with their auto hubs, in my opinion they are woefully under engineered and I wouldn't trust them. (my opinion is based on personal experience)

Okay so left hub works great, right not activating. I manually turned it by hand and 4x4 works! Not sure why it's not working. Extremely clean inside with no signs of contamination or water

The activation process is dependent on contacts that often fail as well as a tiny drive motor that weakens with age and last but not least, gears that remind you of the internal workings of a Timex watch. It only takes one of these components to fail to leave you stranded.
