I have the long single and I like it. The length is rarely a problem and I don't have to open two to get in the back. Its cheaper too, IIRC, the spindles are about $120 each.

necro bump!

I'm talking myself into building the kit and have a question about the ladder swing out deal. I see the ladder pic with the jerry can/cooler holder deal. Does the jerry can mount part come off so the ladder is usable?

(I don't have one of these so can't tell you exactly how)

but...

Yes it does.

I have to single on mine.

Mine is really only driven on the weekends so its not exactly being opened up in car parks at shops often so the long arm doesn't bother me. Even if i was opening it often it wouldnt be a big deal, it pretty much opens parallel with the side of the car so it goes no where near a car parked next to me, no matter how close they are.

Its also nice to have the carrier center mounted. However i performed this mod luke sent the bar to me with a side mount setup.

I like having it all on one, fold down table, LED worklight, chainsaw shelf, and jerry holder, PITA to open 2 swing aways when going to the back of the car with your arms full.

Looks like you have the 4x4 labs bumper and an auxiliary fuel tank? Which one do you have? Where there any fit issues?

That's not a 4x4 Labs bumper.

I'm really linking Autocrafts Aus's setup! Thank you for the great ideas and implementation. Yours is the first I have seen that checks all my must have boxes.

Great Job!

The good old days of the Slee Single swingout bar, which we did table, chainsaw shelf, and light brackets for back in the day.

That bar and mods was back in the mid 2000's.
