Hey guys, I put my 62 in 4Wd for the first time in awhile yesterday and now the the little light stays on even though I unlocked the hubs and I can feel that it is out of 4WD. Do I need to worry about the light or can I just chalk it up as a little quirk in an old truck? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's very possible that your tcase isn't disengaged completely. I have the same problem, and it's due to the 2WD solenoid being fried. On your firewall, you'll see two solenoids, one above the other. Leave your 4WD switch in the "ON" position, and with your engine running, swap the vacuum lines running from those solenoids to your tcase. Roll the truck forward and back just a bit (takes a little movement for mine to shift) and if the light goes out, it's your solenoid. I'm working on a conversion to a manually operated valve that'll eliminate the need for these solenoids, and once I've got it down I'll post a writeup on how to do it.
