So here is my problem at the moment... P0125 CEL along with the car overheating...

Thermostat done.
Radiator cap done.

So infrared the coolant temp sensor 212 and plug in the car spot on same temp..

1996 4Runner 5vzfe 2nd gen supercharger.

P0125 Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control

I think they are two totally different problems?

Coolant is new fresh and topped off.

MAF?
Ox sensor?
Coolant temp?
:frown:

This is getting real annoying I swear the car is almost dialed right.

I read your thread over at T4R last night......

How many miles?
212 is too hot I think, thermostat should be fully opened at like 195.
Has the waterpump ever been changed?
Possible clog in the radiator?

My latest theory....

It only will overheat when the heater isn't on. On as in heat turned up and in flow not recycle. I don't have to have the heater blower motor on. Could this be.... Overheating from the headers being so hot... And the car running lean? Bad ox sensor? Or am I getting out of control here?

I think you might be getting out of hand.......what about the water pump?

some thoughts in no particular order....
- does it have a thermostatic clutch on the fan to vary speed
- is the rad clean and the fins not all flat or have a bug screen in front..
- should a guy maybe throw a timing light on it to see if it is advanced too far
- is the factory radiator shroud still on the unit
- do you have a big bumper and driving lights in the front

what changed first? Did you change coolant? just put the supercharger on or what?
- sometimes tough to get the air bled out of a system, too much boost,
headers... this makes me think back to old days where they raised havoc on wiring and so on.... are they insulated or do they throw a bunch of heat under the hood?
