4Runner owner close to buying 2008 LC 200

Hey folks.
I am new to this forum and looking for advice. I am very close to trading in my 2008 Limited 4Runner for a 2008 LC. It's only got 44k miles and reasonably clean record. Welcome any advice on what I should be giving a closer look before I buy it. And is there any reason why the 2008 isn't a good year? The only big diff I have found on the 5th gen is that the KDSS didn't get put in till 2010. Thanks in advance.

Ask about water pump. 5.7L V8 are known for that. Looks like miles are low for it to fail. GLWP.

I have a 2008 and it has kdss.
Great truck. If the price is right go for it, that's super low miles. Night and day from a 4Runner.

I say go for the 200! KDSS was introduced in the Landcruiser in 2008 with the launch of the 200 series... On the 4Runner it has been offered since 2010 on the trail addition... I think that's what he meant?!?!

They're asking $41k. too good to be true? Seems low for only 44k miles.

That is a great price. I recently sold my 1995 4Runner and got a 2001 Cruiser for my son. I liked it so much, I sold my 2011 Ridgeline and got a 2008 Cruiser. It had 122k miles, and I paid $30k. It needs a water pump, but other than that it's great.

Test drove the 2008 LC today. it was great. But boy is it big. Now I need to get my head around paying $40k+ for a 6 year old truck.

I think it's miles related as well. Dropping $35k for 100k miles is tough to think about.

thanks everyone. I bought it last weekend. I am pumped. Its so different from the 4Runner. I thought it was just going to be a bigger version of the same. Not true at all. much nicer ride. Now I need a good iPhone set up and floor mats. Any reccomendations out there?

no it was pretty much stock. Got $16k on the trade and the dealer came down to $39.5k on the LC. I think I got a super deal. Iam a little nervous maybe too good. :-/ But so far the 2008 LC drives, sounds fine.

I don't no man? That 2008 will only be good for around another 500-600k miles with just manufacture recommended maintance.
