Ok so the 4Runner failed inspection needs rotors and pads, parking brake not working.
I'm thinking about switching to vented rotors and IFS calipers.
Is the master cyl good enough or do I need a different one?
They said the PB cables were bad but I think it's just the bell cranks are
a bit stiff.
Front end gets pulled apart and I will be installing the new Marlin Crawler axle seals. Still have an oil leak on the motor that I have to find sometime too.

Have a nice day!

Hey Lane:

It's a relatively easy upgrade, get yourself some early 80's Cruiser rotors, and go with early 90's V6 calipers from a 4Runner. You'll need to trim your backing plates to get the calipers to fit, I trimmed mine waaay back to expose the rotor so rocks and crap can't get stuck in there:

Cut a notch in the brake line holder to make it easier to remove the calipers from now on:

If you're doing new knuckle wipers, get some of those Rock Rings from TrailGear, and new stainless bolts:

Top it all off with a V6 booster and 1" master cylinder:

Start saving your money now to upgrade the crappy rear drum brakes to discs.

Thanks Ken!
