Apparently there is work to get 46,000 acres set up for OHV use (ATV, Motorcycles, MountainBIkes)....and they have received over half a million dollars already and waiting on sign off for environmental concerns.

Just asking if TLCA or Upstate Cruisers has been in contact to see if we can get in on this....have trails widened in some areas to 72 inches at least.....maybe a couple piles of granite rock...etc?

They might welcome our help with TLCA, TreadLightly, Blue Ribbon Coalition, etc behind us....

The RTP program is specific to SC (South Carolina Parks Recreation and Toursim). SCPRT is responsible for dolling out the funds to agencies within SC who apply. I've been there, done that. It is a good program but highly competitive.

Last I heard UC is 150 members strong. Maybe if we start sending some e mails of support for the trail system and maybe try to set up a sponsor a trail kind of thing we could further the cause to get some trails for 4x4's. I'm sure they need some volunteers. Might also get some of the scout troops involved. I think one of Davids scouts did his eagle project setting up trails (foot)/ markers and stuff here in chuck town. Win win all around. State gets help, we get trails, kid gets eagle project done. I also think this would be a good time to get some other clubs and maybe some 4x4 shops on board, so if you have contact info for any forward the thread.

SCPRT RTP would be a good place to start. They are open to motorized trails. With budget cuts volunteer labor would hopefully be welcomed but also with budget cuts government agencies are looking for ways to save money and closing trails is an option they are exercising.
