$2500

Front and rear 40 series axles for sale. It’s a 72, I’m not certain what these are, or aren’t.

Front has disc brakes that look to be mini series to me. Rear has GM style disc brakes on it. The rear rotors are shorter than the pads, so a different rotor is needed at the next brake job.

They seem to have 4.10 gears based on speeds I have driven VS RPM’s

They both have ARB lockers. Both work. I have converted the rear to the modern 6mm hose size fittings. I have the front, but have not done it yet. Once pulled from the 40, I’ll do the swap for you so it’s plug and play.

Sale includes the ARB compressor for them, and its harness and switch’s. It is the old school original compressor. Pretty neat little time capsule piece. Works great.

Front knuckles are do for a rebuild. Front steering tierod and drag link included, it’s a Saginaw type drag link.

Rear axle is pointed up for double cardan driveshaft.

Axles are still in the rig, so they can be tested. It doesn’t run great currently, but will drive down the road to prove they work. Compressor is not wired back inside testing isnt an option. Might be able to rig something up though.

Located in Arvada, CO

$3000 obo. Pictures on request. I won’t pull them out until they sell.

Going to tons.

Are the axles Spring over or under? Has the front axle been cut and turned

Hey man, just to put a bug in your ear. As soon as our house sells we've already set aside a budget to finally start our '74 '40 build and these axles are on the menu. I'll contact you when that happens. Should be within the next few weeks. Unless they're already gone? It is a relatively old thread.

I'll contact you in a couple of weeks! Very excited!

Bump! Time to buy wheels and tires for the tons.

Will consider trades for 40” or 42” tires. 17” wheel size. 8x6.5 headlocks.
