Fellas-

New to the cruiser forum and wanted to touch base to see if anyone knows any good trails that may lead to decent fly fishing streams/creeks in North Georgia. Obviously looking for public trails. Nothing too insane, but trails that are fun and lead to north GA trout waters.

Can't think of anything better than four wheeling and fly fishing.

Appreciate the help in advance.

It sounds like a lot of fun as we used to do this in Montana years ago, but is is becoming more and more difficult due to trail closures by FS. Others may know of some places that I do not.

Pillguy-

Thanks for the response and hopefully someone will reply. Perhaps a better question is if anyone knows of any off road trails in the North East section of Georgia? Or South West Section of NC around Cashiers, Highlands, etc. Basically I am looking for sections of high elevation in that area in search of some mountain trout.

not really a trail but sandy ford road north east of clayton leads up to the chatooga river, good fly fishing there and very scenic.

found this pic on your local club site. anyone know where this trail is?

Cohutta is the best place that comes to mind. Conasauga river in Cohutta WMA but you're gonna have to hike a few tough miles into the back country to get there. And yes, I know where that pic is from. It's not accessible any more, state shut down the area to motorized traffic
