I'm in the process of upgrading my speakers and purchased a pair of Rockford fosgate 4" speakers for the rear door but decided to go with 6.5 instead. I installed one speaker in the dash and the other speaker won't fit next to the glove compartment. Any body interested in purchasing one speaker? Since its only one and I will sell it for $10. Includes the grill and all the parts.

Can't you use a spacer to push the speaker out more so it will fit?

In the door? Yes thats why I'm going to 6.5" for the rear doors I talked to audio installation place and they said for the amount of work to build a spacer I would get better sound out of a 6.5" vs the 4". Since I couldn't return the 4" speakers I figured I would install them in the dash, the space under the steering wheel it fits, but not the spot to the right of the glove compartment. I chose these speakers because the the grills would look close to factory and I want to keep it as factory-looking as possible.

Sorry, I meant for the 4 inch that is in the dash next to glove box.

this is what I did to create spacers......used 1/2" pieces of 1/4" hose. Works great.

Thanks, I've been trying to use MDF and preferct the shape so it can fit in the door, but its not working so great I will give this a try

Great simple solution
